Astacia is a Master prepared nurse educator who has served at the educator capacity in both the hospital and long-term care setting. She is passionate about providing education in a manner that builds confidence and empowers the learner on the topics being presented. Astacia has implemented, facilitated and managed new nurse training programs with the understanding and appreciation regarding the importance of providing specialized training to learners. She recognizes the learning needs of a nurse entering the healthcare setting for the first time differ from the needs of an experienced nurse. She has worked as a content creator to develop electronic learning modules,

competencies, and policies to help ensure safe nursing practice.

Astacia’s nursing background includes medical-surgical, telemetry, the progressive care unit and the long-term care setting.
